I'm Rachel Willock (AKA Rachey Jane or at least that's what my Mum calls me!).

 

My first brush with linocut printing was at school and I remember being completely absorbed in the cutting process and then fastidious about colours and the precision of the printing. My love for printmaking blossomed and I specialised in linocutting during my Art A level.

 

After leaving art behind to study Geography at University and then a career in Transport Planning, my time for art somewhat waned until I decided to fill my evenings with something crafty.

 

In 2011 with fond memories of linocut printing,  I decided to give it a try and see what I could produce at home. So I bought some sheets of lino, a couple of cutting tools and a small hand press and 'rachey jane prints again' was born.
